  • Her father is a chemistry professor at East Carolina University and her mother is an interior designer.

  • At the age of twelve she was State Balance Beam Champion and ranked in the overall top ten gymnasts in NC.
  • Attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a degree in Dramatic Art and received the Andy Griffith Scholarship.
